G.R. Saunders is a former teacher who grew up in a house filled with books and music. She has been reading and writing stories since she was a child.

She believes that childhood should be a special time of wonder, discovery, and learning; a time for dreaming and enjoying the world of imagination; where animals can talk, sing and dance. A time for hopes and dreams.

She holds degrees from Western Carolina University, the University of Texas, and Eastern Washington University.

In addition to writing, she enjoys sewing and design, knitting, and traveling.

She is also active in environmental and animal welfare causes.
